Green ceramic bowl.
This beautiful handmade ceramic bowl in blues and greens was made on the wheel.Made by hand. This piece has been thrown on the wheel from stoneware clay.
When its leather hard I put it back on the wheel and turn it (trim) to refine the shape. Once Im happy with it its allowed to dry slowly over several days. Then I apply the glazed by hand by painting it on using 3 colours of glaze layered over each otherinupto 8 coats per side. It is then fired to 1180deg C making it extremely tough.
