This piece was thrown on the wheel and then carved with an organic fluid design before being allowed to fully dry.
As these are extremely fragile before being fired, I bisque them to 1000c before I apply the glaze, which is done in several glazes and multiple layers to achieve this gorgeous tonal blue It then gets fired to approx 1180deg c
This makes it very tough.
