In April 2019, I travelled to the USA, and visited quite a few galleries in the D.C. area. I have always loved impressionism, but had never thought I could do create this wonderfully soft painterly effect with ceramics before now. I realised that my latest experiments with layering glazes could be incorporated on some pieces Id thrown back in the UK. Eager to get back to home after my trip, I started straight away to test and work on my idea. Its still ongoing, but Im fairly plaesed with the results so far.
