Hand made blue ceramic vase with narrow neck.
Made by hand. This piece has been thrown on the wheel from stoneware clay.
When its leather hard I put it back on the wheel and turn it (trim) to refine the shape. Once Im happy with it its allowed to dry slowly over several days. Then I apply the glazed by hand by painting it on using several colours of glaze layered over each other. The inner glaze is blue. It is then fired to 1180deg C making it extremely tough.
