Safety
Some pottery may be microwave safe and the majority is dishwasher safe, but it’s recommended to hand wash to extend the item’s life.
I put all my day-to-day items ie mugs, through the dishwasher daily without any issues.
Pottery can be very hot when it comes out of the microwave, so be careful. Most of my items on this website, unless very delicate ie pierced tea lights, lustre ware or inlaid glass coasters, are ok to use in the dishwasher under normal conditions. I am not responsible for any damage caused.
Items excluded from microwave and dishwasher: anything with a lustre, mother of pearl effect, inlaid glass coasters, delicate items, any that specifically mark as not dishwasher +/or microwave safe.
Plant pots for outside use
Plant pots are normally ok outside in cold weather. If you are worried, then bring them inside.
Storage
Pottery should be stored in the right conditions, or the I may not be responsible for any issues that arise.
Delivery
Damaged items
If items are delivered damaged or sent incorrectly, you should notify me as soon as possible. I will ask for photographs to show the damage of the items and its packaging.
Incorrect Item sent
I may ask you to return the incorrect pottery, if I do, I will refund reasonable postage costs.
Refunds
If you’re dissatisfied with your items, you can return them within two weeks for a refund. Once received in perfect condition, I will refund the items, excluding p&p.
If you wish to cancel your order, please contact me immediately : ruth@bluefoxceramics.co.uk or before the pottery is shipped, in order to receive a full refund. If it has already been shipped, you can return it at yor own expense for a refund of the item only.
Clay and glazes
From time to time I may may change the type of clay I use, but as the majority of my work is ready to ship, this does not normally apply.
Glazes can and do vary from firing to firing, and suppliers sometimes change the composition of their glazes, so the finish of your pottery may be different, if this is the case, I will always advise before shipping.
I endeavour to photograph work in daylight, or simulated daylight. The colour may appear different to that shown on screens and phones.
