Ceramic pale blue plant pot
Made by hand. This piece has been thrown on the wheel.
Once dry it is glazed with multiple glazes to create this attractive finish, it then gets fired to 1180deg C making it extremely tough.
The inner glaze is grey

I have been single firing my ceramics since 2019. This is quite tricky to do as the raw clay is very fragile. Firing once or single firing means there is no bisque firing to 1000c, then a second firing to the top temperature of 1200c after glazing.
My process means I use far less energy and makes my products much more environmentally friendly. It has taken time to develop the skill and knowledge required to do this successfully, knowing what will work and what will not.
